Winter Playtime
Open a 400 x 400 transparent image.
Material palette / gradient / choose a nice gradient /
settings: linear / angle 0 / repeats 1 or 2.
Tools / flood fill tool.
Flood fill the transparent layer with the gradient.
Click pan tool.
Layer palette right click on the layer and duplicate once.
Layer palette activate the top layer.
Image / rotate / free rotate / right checked / uncheck both
the boxes / 90 ok.
Layer palette activate the top layer / lower the opacity to
50.
Layers / merge / merge visible.
Adjust / sharpness / sharpen more repeat.
Effects / texture effects / mosaic glass / number of columns 50 / number of rows
50 / symmetric
ticked / glass curvature 50 /edge curvature 0 / grout width
2 / grout diffusion 50 ok.
Layer palette / right click and add a new layer keep on top
and activate.
Selections / select all.
Open a background right click and copy.
Right click on selected layer and paste Into selection.
Selections / select none.
Close of the background.
Top layer still active lower the opacity to 40 - 50.
Layers / merge / merge visible.
Adjust / sharpness / sharpen more.
Open a tube of your choice, shift and D to copy close
original tube.
Copy and paste the tube as a new layer on to the merged
layer.
Tools / deform tool / position the tube and resize if needed
then click the pan tool.
Effects / 3d effects / drop shadow / v 1 / h -1 / op 60 - 70
/ blur 15 / black ok or adjust to your taste
depending on the tube you use.
Layers / merge / merge visible.
Close of the tube.
Tools / text tool the big A / create as vector / direction
first / font any I used almont snow /size any / sw 0 - 1
/ Anti-alias sharp.
Material palette choose the colour tab.
Set the colour you want in both boxes the foreground and
background box.
Write your name and click apply.
Use the nodes to position and resize if needed.
Layer palette / right click on vector and convert to raster
layer.
Image / add borders / colour white / symmetric ticked / 2
ok.
Image / add borders / colour black / symmetric ticked / 5
ok.
Image / add borders / colour white / symmetric ticked / 2
ok.
Image / add borders / colour black / symmetric ticked / 10
ok.
Tools / magic wand click on the last border to activate the
ants.
Material palette, use the dropper and choose a colour from
you're tube.
Tools / flood fill tool.
Fill the activated border with the color.
Click the pan tool.
Effects / 3d effects / inner bevel / ( mallys bevel)
settings: 2 / 15 / 4 / 10 / 0 / 0 / white
/ 315 / 40 / 40 / ok.
Selections / select none.
save as give it a name / save type as jpeg.
