Cosmic Cat
Open a 400 x 400 transparent image.
Selections / select all.
Open a slats tube.
Right click on the slats tube and copy.
Right click on the selected 400 x 400 image.
Paste Slat tube Into selection.
Selections / select all / float / defloat.
Close of the original slats tube.
Material palette choose a gradient to compliment your background
( use own settings ).
Tools / flood fill tool.
Flood fill the slats tube.
Click pan.
Selections / modify / contract 3-4 pixels.
Open a background
Right click and copy your background.
Right click on the slats tube and paste Into selection
Selections / select all / float / defloat
Selections / modify / feather/ number of pixels 2 ok
Selections / invert
Press delete on the keyboard a couple of times to remove the stray pixels
Selections / select none
Close the original background.
Layer palette right click on the slats layer and duplicate until you have 3.
Activate the bottom layer.
Image / resize / 95 percent / resample using checked / smart size /lock aspect ration checked
uncheck resize all layers.
Activate middle layer.
Repeat resize using the same settings but size 80 percent
Activate top layer.
Repeat resize using the same settings but size 65 percent
Activate top layer / effects / 3d effects / drop shadow / v1 /
h2 / op80 / b0 / colour white if
you are using a dark background and black if you are using a light background.
Activate middle layer add the same drop shadow.
Activate bottom layer add the same drop shadow.
Layers / merge / merge visible.
Layers palette add a new raster layer / layers / arrange / send to bottom.
Material palette choose another gradient ( use own settings ).
Tools / flood fill.
Flood fill bottom layer.
Click pan.
Bottom layer still active.
Effects / texture effects / Reflection Effects /settings Kaleidoscope / Horizontal offset % 74/
Vertical offset % 100 / Rotation angle 14 / Scale factor 24 / Edge mode wrap checked /
Kaleidoscope
Settings / Number of petals 20 / number of Orbits 4 / Radial Suction 60 / ok
Activate top layer / effects / drop shadow / v1 / h-1 / op 100 /
b 4 / colour black.
Activate bottom layer
Adjust / sharpness / sharpen more.
Layers merge visible.
Open a tube of your choice.
Copy and paste the tube onto the merged layer as a new layer.
Tools / deform / use the corner nodes to resize and position your tube into place.
Click pan.
Activate tube layer.
Effects / 3d effects / drop shadow / v1 / h1 / op80 / b14 / colour white if you are using a dark
background and black if you are using a light background.
Effects / 3d effects / drop shadow / v -1 / h -1 / op80 / b14 / colour white if you are using a
dark background and black if you are using a light background.
Activate the copyright copy and paste as a new layer use deform
tool to position click pan also
add your watermark the same way as your copyright.
Layers / merge visible.
Tools / text tool / settings vector / direction the first one / font any / size any / stroke 1.
Material palette set a colour in both boxes.
Write your name and click apply.
Add your own drop shadow to the writing.
Layer palette right click on vector and convert to raster.
Layers / merge visible.
Add a frame or border of your own choice.
Layers / merge all flatten.
Save type as JPEG.
